Its that time of year....wedding time! And of course, every bride needs the perfect hair do. (With just 10 weeks exactly to go until my wedding, Wedding Hair is a favourite topic in the salon!)
Am I the only bride-to-be who's been growing her hair since before she got engaged??? To me it just made sense. Hair takes a while to grow, and having a bit of length gives more options! i think secretly that's why many brides choose a longer engagement....to allow time for their hair to grow!
Lets look at some of the better wedding do's:

The hair style above is perfect for a more formal wedding. and would work well on shoulder length or longer hair (to get the "donut" at the top a hair piece could be used if the bride's hair wasn't long or thick enough). in my opinion this hair style would look best on a bride's hair that is all one colour, no highlight, as, with it being so flat across her head the highlights could look stripy and she would ever be known as the bride with the stripy hair!
wow...this is an Elaborate Hair Do! i think the most important thing for this bride is to keep everything else simple. The hair's enough. This "do" would also require a lot of hairspray so possibly not the best choice for someone environmentally conscious!
Oh dear....ladies, if you Do choose to have a hair piece on your big day PLEASE ask for the professional help of your hair dresser and make sure you get one that matches your own hair colour!
This is a lovely hair style. Elegant, natural, you could swap the feather for a silk or real flower (be sure to keep hair spray away from real flowers...they wilt!) Beautiful curls with the hairpin hidden away, a dash of hairspray to keep it in place all day and this bride is ready to have all the attention on her, rather than her hair!
A simple side chignon. Perfect for shoulder length or longer hair. This picture has a hint of stripe from the bride's highlights. my next photo takes stripes to the extreme!
This is a precision hair do for the bride who likes everything in its place and isn't afraid to show it in her hair do! what I love about it are the waves and curls skilfully created by her stylist!
A relaxed and pretty hair do. Just keep out of the wind
NO!....when I suggested it was nice to add a flower I didn't mean for you to add a pile of shrub cuttings from your garden!
And finally, this little "do" is simple and pretty for the bride wearing a veil.
As for me, how my hair's going to be...I'll be taking inspiration from the style on this page, and over the next few weeks Anna and Tracey in the salon will be helping me create a style that's just perfect for me!
One of our wonderful clients, Sonya, is getting married tomorrow!
